What To Expect

The airlines will allow you to check only two bags. For hunting trips, that will typically mean one duffle bag and one

gun case. There is also a weight limit of 50 lbs. per bag or else pay an excess baggage fee of $25. If your bag

weighs over 70 lbs.- then it will cost you $100! The airlines will allow you to carry a maximum of one carry-on bag

that have to fit under your seat or in the overhead bin. Some hunters choose to put heavier, more valuable, of

fragile items in their carry-on’s like, binoculars, cameras, camcorders, etc. Remember you cannot carry

ammunition in your carry on or in your gun case. It must be in your checked baggage but not in your gun case.
